Houston, Texas Snow Day 12-10-2008

Snow in Houston, Texas is a big deal. In fact, most of us stayed up into the wee hours just to watch it come down! What a beautiful sight! What fun watching the neighborhood kids run out, quickly gathering handfuls of snow to throw at each other. Some innovative youths put socks on their hands and brought plates to pile on the snow. (We don't have need for gloves, here, very often!)

By morning, it was mostly gone with a drip, drip, and a slop of snow and water sliding off of cars and buildings. Yet, it was cool fun while it lasted!

BTW, it was almost 80 degrees, here, earlier in the week and will get back to almost that within the next few days! What a roller coaster!

(These photos are unedited and shot with my Shadow phone, at night, when the snow fall started to progress to its heaviest.)
